CA WCIS is migrating to IAIABC Medical Release 2 standards
The Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC), Workers’ Compensation Information System (WCIS) has planned to migrate from IAIABC Medical Release 1.1 to IAIABC Medical Release 2 in the fall of 2014. The California EDI Implementation Guide for Medical Bill Payment Records for Release 2 and the programming logic for validating incoming Release 2 data are posted to the online forum where members of the public may review and comment on the proposal.

Comments will be accepted on the forum until 5:00 p.m. on August 5, 2013. Please feel free to participate in this important process.
