WCIS advisory meeting and California-specific EDI training
In response to trading partner requests, the California Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) is organizing EDI training specific to California. This training would be held in conjunction with the annual WCIS Advisory Meeting which is set for June 21-22, 2010 in Los Angeles, California and June 23-24 in Oakland, California.
DWC would like to get an estimate of the number of trading partners interested in attending the WCIS meeting and/or EDI training. The training will be provided by the IAIABC and DWC. It will only be offered if there are enough participants to make it cost effective. Among the main topics covered will be reporting requirement changes found in the updated California FROI/SROI and Medical EDI implementation guides. The new WCIS regulations and draft versions of the guides can be found at http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/DWCPropRegs/WCIS_Regs/WCIS_Regulations.htm.
If you would like to participate, please complete the questionnaire and e-mail your response to firstname.lastname@example.org by Feb. 26, 2010. Please include any training topics you would like to see covered in your response. Registration fees will only apply to the EDI training and will be based on the number of attendees. These fees will be used to cover the IAIABC trainers’ travel and lodging costs. There is no charge to attend the WCIS advisory meeting. Participants are responsible for meals, lodging and travel arrangements.
