Annual WCIS advisory committee meeting

All stakeholders are invited to attend the 2009 meeting of the Workers’ Compensation Information System (WCIS) Advisory Committee.  The WCIS has been collecting workers’ compensation data for nine years and there are now 7 million claims represented in the database.

At the upcoming Monday, June 1 meeting of the Committee, we will give a WCIS status report.  Additionally, we will discuss plans for maintenance and further development of the system.

Monday, June 1, 2009
9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Elihu Harris State Building Auditorium
1515 Clay Street
Oakland, California 94612

A preliminary meeting agenda is attached for your information.  If there are any topics that you would like to add to the agenda, please email them to Martha Jones at mjones@dir.ca.gov.  To facilitate discussion, some materials that will be reviewed at the meeting will be posted to the WCIS website during the week before the meeting.  You can view and download these documents by going to http://www.dir.ca.gov/DWC/WCIS.htm and then scrolling to “WCIS Advisory Committee Materials”.

Please reply to this email to let us know whether you or someone from your organization will be able to attend the June meeting.  You may wish to have a technical representative as well as someone from the claims administration side.
