WCIS system cutover update

This past 4th of July weekend, WCIS staff successfully switched processing to the improved WCIS system, although no acknowledgements have been sent out. All FROIs and SROIs received were successfully processed. A few critical trading partners have not sent any FROIs or SROIs since July 1st, when the old system was shut down.

Before sending out acknowledgements, we hope to process transactions from these critical trading partners to ensure ongoing success with the system. We expect to receive them by Thursday this week, after which, we will analyze the results and send out all pending acknowledgements. These will be acknowledgements for transactions that were received since last Thursday evening (July 1, 2004). We expect to send out all pending acknowledgements by Monday, July 13, 2004. In spite of the delay in acknowledgements, we encourage all trading partners to submit their transactions as soon as possible.]

We appreciate everyone's support. Especially during this period of transition, your questions and feedback will be important to the success of the WCIS system. As always, we will do our best to respond as soon as possible.

The draft of the revised WCIS CA implementation guide is posted at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DWC/impguide2.zip.

Another version highlighting the changes in the draft guide since May, 2000 is also available. This is posted at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DWC/impguide2ch.zip.
