Proposed Amendments to WCIS Regulations

The California Division of Workers' Compensation has released a package of proposed amendments to the WCIS regulations. These amendments were previewed in WCIS e.News #5. The proposed amendments - along with a notice of public hearing and an Initial Statement of Reasons - can be viewed at the DWC Web site, at: www.dir.ca.gov/DWC/whatsnew.htm. A hard copy has also been mailed to each of the claims administrators for whom we have a snail mail address on file.

The proposed amendments would accomplish three main changes to the existing regulations:

Public hearings on the proposed amendments are scheduled for March 1, 2001. Public comments are invited. See the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for details.
