14300.33 - Retention and Updating 
Question 
Does the Cal/OSHA 300 Log have to be updated during the five-year storage period?

Answer
Yes, updated information should include:
  • newly discovered recordable injuries or illnesses, and
  • any changes in the classification of previously recorded injuries and illnesses, and 
  • removing or lining out original entries and entering new information if case descriptions or outcomes change.

Do Cal/OSHA Forms 300-A the Annual Summary and 301 Incident Report have to be updated during the five-year storage period?

Answer
No.
