NOTICE OF CORRECTION TO PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS
TITLE 8: DIVISION 1, CHAPTER 3.2, SUBCHAPTER 2, ARTICLE 6, Sections 344.5 through 344.17, of the California Code of Regulations
On September 9, 2001 the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (the Division) gave notice of the opportunity to submit written comments on the above-described proposed regulations.
With the September 9 Notice the Division provided a copy of the proposed regulatory text, which was intended to show the history of modifications to the text since it was released for public consideration during the Reinitiated Second 15-day Comment Period. Currently-proposed additions to the text considered during the Third 15-day comment period were meant to be indicated by double underlines, and currently-proposed deletions were meant to be indicated by double strikeouts. Single strikeouts and single underlines were meant to indicate changes considered during the Third Comment Period to the text presented for comment during the Reinitiated Second Comment Period.
However, the copy of text the Division sent with the Notice contained an error in proposed section 344.15. That copy incorrectly marked currently proposed changes to section 344.15 with single strikeouts and single underlines. All language shown with single strikeouts and single underlines in section 344.15 should be shown with double strikeouts and double underlines. For your convenience, a copy of the correctly marked proposed changes to section 344.15 is included with this notice. A complete copy of the proposed regulations is available on request and at the Division's website at: http://www.dir.ca.gov/DOSH/DoshReg/amusepropreg.html
Because of the error, the Division will hold the 15-day comment period open until October 5, 2001.
Written comments on the proposed modifications must be received by the Division at its office not later than 5:00 p.m. on October 5, 2001.
The Division's rulemaking file on the proposed action is open to public inspection Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Division's Headquarters, which is located at the address shown below.
