First Aid
Regulations concerning first aid include the following:
A. A first aid kit must be provided by each employer on all
job sites and must contain the minimum of supplies as determined
by an authorized licensed physician or as listed in
1512(c).
B. Trained personnel in possession of a current Red Cross
First Aid certificate or its equivalent must be immediatelyn
available at the job site to provide first aid treatment.

C. Emergency medical services, including a written plan,
must be provided.

D. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens is considered a job-related
hazard for construction workers who are assigned firstaid
duties in addition to construction work. Although construction
employers are specifically exempted from GISO
5193 requirements,
they are required to provide appropriate protection for employees
who may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens when providing
first aid. 3203
