DIR enforces the laws passed by the California Legislature and signed by the Governor. The laws, also called statutes, are available online:

Proposed Regulations
The Department of Industrial Relations and its divisions, boards, and commissions propose the adoption, amendment, or repeal of regulations. Unless otherwise indicated, the proposals follow the regular rulemaking process as prescribed by the California Office of Administrative Law.
Approved Regulations
These regulations have been approved by the Office of Administrative Law, and filed with the Secretary of State. This is a partial list - please refer to the California Code of Regulations, Title 8 and the California Labor Code for other applicable regulations in effect.
