The donation of new clothes for children served by COPES.
As a prelude to Child Abuse Prevention Month. The clothing consists of apparel confiscated from underground shops during investigations by the Department of Industrial Relations. Under the law, the clothing must either be destroyed to prevent it from being resold, or it may be donated for direct distribution to individuals and families. The donation is made to help those in need, on behalf of state labor investigators and victims of the underground economy.
