SACRAMENTO --Governor Pete Wilson today announced the appointment of Diana G. Marshall as Chief of the Division of Apprenticeship Standards at the Department of Industrial Relations.
Marshall, 45, of Pacifica, has served as chairwoman of the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board since 1991.
Previously, Marshall served as executive director of the State Job Training Coordinating Council from 1986 to 1990. She served as Deputy Appointments Secretary for Governor George Deukmejian from 1983 to 1986. Marshall served as a deputy district attorney for Kern County from 1980 to 1983.
A Republican, Marshall is a member of the California Bar Association.
Marshall earned a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Southern California in 1975 and a juris doctorate from Southwestern School of Law in 1979.
This appointment is not subject to Senate confirmation.
