Los Angeles -- California Labor Commissioner Victoria Bradshaw and representatives of state, federal and local agencies will be available today to answer questions and provide background and updated information on their discovery of over 60 Thai garment workers allegedly held captive and forced to work in an El Monte apartment complex for up to seven years. The simultaneous multi-agency sweep of the apartment complex and other facilities in downtown Los Angeles and Panorama City, which occurred within the last 24 hours, is expected to result in various charges against the operators, who are now in custody.
