The active apprentices as of December 31, 1992 numbered 37,254. One year ago, Dec. 31, 1991, there were 47,828 registered apprentices. By comparison, there was a decrease of 22.1% in the total number of active apprentices in the last year.
New registrations and reinstatements numbered 1,502 at the end of December, 1992.
