Davenport serves on the advisory committee for the workers' compensation information system and was a member of the governing board of the Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau. He is a former Peace Corps volunteer and a graduate of San Francisco State University. |
Allen Davenport is the director of government relations for the Service
Employees International Union California State Council. A union member
since 1971, Davenport also was the chief consultant for employment security
programs -- unemployment insurance, disability insurance, and job training
-- on the staff of the state Senate Industrial Relations Committee for
seven years.
