Minimum Wage Increase 2007
The increased minimum wage was approved by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on September 12 when he signed into law Assembly bill 1835 (Lieber), which increases the minimum wage in two phases. On Jan. 1, 2007 the minimum wage jumps from $6.75 to $7.50 per hour, and on Jan. 1, 2008 the minimum wage increases to $8.00 per hour.
