The Occupational Safety
and Health Standards Board hereby gives notice that the following subjects will
be considered by ad hoc advisory committees convened to consider revisions to
Cal/OSHA safety orders in Title 8 of
the California Code of Regulations.

To develop the final conceptual approach for the proposed Title 8 Reform Project. |

To consider proposed amendments to Title 8, Elevator Safety Orders, including incorporation of portions of ASME A17.1-2000 |

To consider proposed amendments to Title 8, Construction Safety Orders, Sections 1504, 1637(b) and 1640(c), with regard to scaffolds. |

The Department of Industrial Relations’ Cal/OSHA Advisory Committee, which meets monthly, provides a means for discussing issues related to the Cal/OSHA program. Any interested person is invited to attend. Agenda items must be submitted in writing to John Howard, Chief, Division of Occupational Safety and Health, two weeks in advance of the meeting.

Pursuant to Government Code Section 11346.4 and the provisions of Labor Code Sections 142.1, 142.2, and 142.3, the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Board has set the time and place for a Public Hearing. At the Public Hearing, the Board will consider public testimony on the proposed changes noticed below to occupational safety and health regulations in Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations.
