In accordance with Labor Code Sections 1173, and 1176.3(a)(1), 1178, and, 1178.5, the Industrial Welfare Commission ("IWC") will hold a public hearing and a public meeting on May 3, 2002 regarding the adequacy of the minimum wage and the petition to raise and index the minimum wage in California. The public hearing will be held in Sacramento at the State Capitol, Room 112, commencing at 10:00 a.m. The public meeting be held at the same location and will commence immediately following the public hearing.
PUBLIC MEETING AGENDA
1. Consideration of a petition requesting the IWC conduct a minimum wage review to raise and index the minimum wage in California.2. Closed session pursuant to Government Code section 11126(e) to discuss pending litigation in Cal. Labor Federation, et al. v. IWC, San Francisco Superior Court No. 500547.
3. Any new business that may come before the IWC.
