NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

of the

INDUSTRIAL WELFARE COMMISSION

January 9, 2001

In accordance with Labor Code Sections 1173 and 1178.5, the Industrial Welfare Commission ("IWC") will hold a public meeting on January 9, 2001, to consider the appointment of members and issuing a charge to a wage board it has authorized to consider the wages, hours and working conditions of sheepherders. The IWC will also consider changing the name of "Interim Wage Order 2000". The IWC may decide to take action on one or both of these matters. The meeting will be held in Sacramento, at the State Capitol, Room 112,commencing at 10:00 a.m.

AGENDA

1. Approval of the minutes.

2. Consideration of appointment of members and the charge to a wage board established to review wages, hours and working conditions of sheepherders.

3. Consideration of a name change from "Interim Wage Order 2000", to "Wage Order 17– Regulating Miscellaneous Employees".

4. Any further business that may come before the commission.

In order for the IWC to provide an opportunity for interested parties to speak at the public hearings, the amount of time within which each speaker will be allowed to address the IWC may be limited. Accordingly, the public is urged to submit written statements to the IWC concerning items on the agenda.
