| Area Samples | Whenever a citation results directly from the
sample.
Whenever it is the only sample taken for a particular hazard. |
| Bulk & Wipe Samples | Whenever a citation results directly from the
sample.
Whenever it is the only sample taken for a particular hazard. |
| Blood & Urine Samples | Always, no exceptions. |
| Screening Samples | Never. Summarize screening samples on the OSHA Form 98. |
NOTE: Screening samples include any samples taken as input into the decision of whether or
how to perform full shift or other sampling by which to document exposures. All of the above
statements exclude screening samples from consideration. Screening samples are always
reported to OMDS on the Screening Report, OSHA Form 98.
