PROPOSED REGULATIONS
FOR EMPLOYER RECORDS OF OCCUPATIONAL INJURY AND ILLNESS

TITLE 8, CALIFORNIA CODE of REGULATIONS

The proposed regulations for "Employer Records of Occupational Injury and Illness" are being proposed by the Division of Occupational Safety and Health on behalf of the Division of Labor Statistics and Research.

Recordkeeping Regulations as Submitted to the Office of Administrative Law
 
California's formal adoption of the new federal occupational injury and illness recordkeeping requirements will be finalized by mid-January 2002. However, all California employers are required to begin recording injuries and illness according to the provisions of the new federal regulation, as adopted in California, on 1 January 2002. A copy of California's final recordkeeping regulations and appendices are provided below.
