  On Aug. 11, 2004, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed Senate Bill 1809 (the Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act of 2004) into law which, among other things, amended Labor Code Section 2699 et seq.  Written notices required under the Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act of 2004 to be sent to the Division of Occupational Safety and Health and to the employer, with a copy to the Labor and Workforce Development Agency, are to be sent by certified mail to the following address:

• Women: Does your personal protective equipment fit you? Cal/OSHA and the Department of Health Services Occupational Health Branch have designed a survey to help determine if women in non-traditional jobs are having problems getting safe and effective personal protective equipment. You can fill out the survey on line or print the survey and mail it in. There is a separate survey for women firefighters available on line or for print . The deadline for completing the survey is July 30. Survey results will be posted on the Department of Health Services Occupational Health Branch Web site.
