The CCC is the first program of its kind to offer college credit for construction training. It is part of the Governor’s initiative on improving and strengthening Career Technical Education and is designed to attract skilled workers who are looking for professional careers as construction managers, job estimators, supervisors, project engineers and Career Technical Education teachers.

The CCC will offer students a college education directly linked to career opportunities and choices in the construction trades; an associate or bachelor’s degree along with certificate programs designed by construction industry professionals; and on-line coursework or other distance learning opportunities combined with lab and field experience.
The CCC is a joint venture between the Santa Clara County Construction Careers Association, San Jose City College, and the National Labor College, a partnership supported by labor organizations, the construction industry, and the education sector including the California Community College Chancellor’s Office..
