WHEN Friday, December 21, 2007, 11:00a.m.-12:00p.m.

WHERE St. Vincent de Paul Community Center

WHY Investigators from the Labor Commissioner's Office and the Economic and Employment Enforcement Coalition confiscated women and children's clothing items from garment businesses that failed to properly register with the state of California. The confiscated clothing items are placed in storage for 45 days and then must be "disposed" of or "destroyed" and cannot be resold. Labor Commissioner Bradstreet will donate these clothing items to the St. Vincent de Paul Society to benefit those who lack some of life's necessities and highlight the significance of combating the underground employers who undermine California's economy.
