Various employers including Cal/OSHA, DLSE, and EDD will be present. Participating businesses that will be available to provide employment opportunities include LA City Parks and Recreation, Subway, Dominos Pizza, California Conservation Corps and local markets. Cal/OSHA will be present to provide safety information and DLSE will be present to provide labor law information. EDD will also be present to provide resources for interviewing and resume writing.

The goals of this event are to inform youth of their labor rights and responsibilities as they enter the workforce; to educate youth to be safe and aware of the hazards in the workplace; and to help teens build their interviewing and writing resume skills.
