Each year more than 4,000 employees travel from Arizona to California with their employers to harvest crops. There are also a number of farm labor contractors that maintain a license in California and Arizona. In an effort to bridge the differences in state laws and assist these employers in maintaining compliance, the California-Arizona Agricultural Employers Seminar was created. The seminar will provide:

  • Information on changes in California Labor Law regarding
    • workplace safety
    • transportation of workers
    • wage and hour issues

  • Outline the differences in Arizona and California laws including:
    • child labor
    • workers' compensation
    • minimum wage
    • workplace safety
    • transportation of employees
