SAN FRANCISCO -- California Labor Commissioner Jose Millan has announced that the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement will conduct a registration application clinic to assist garment manufacturers with the registration process. Garment manufacturers who need to apply for or renew an application are invited to attend.
"This is part of our ongoing education efforts designed to help inform contractors and manufacturers of application regulations," said Millan. "This very important clinic is designed to give employers the opportunity to get assistance with registration and renewals thereby eliminating the possibility of being cited for not being in compliance."
The Garment Registration Application Clinic will be held from April 6 through April 10. Business owners in garment manufacturing who need to file for a new application or to renew an existing application are encouraged to attend from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The clinic will be held at the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, 107 South Broadway, Room 5027, Los Angeles. There is a $185 fee for filing the Garment Manufacturer's registration and will be accepted in the form of a cashiers check or money order only. For more information about the registration clinic you may contact the Division at (213) 897-8245 or (213) 897-8335.
