SAN FRANCISCO -- California Labor Commissioner Jose Millan will be in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 4 to announce the reopening of the Downtown L.A. office of the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). The office will become a full service office to better serve the employees and employers in the downtown area.
Millan will also unveil the new automated telephone system recently installed for the Los Angeles area. The automated phone system is designed to help employers and employees answer questions on various issues including overtime, rates of pay, minimum wage, termination, workers compensation, child labor laws, prevailing wage rates, and how to file a wage claims.
Millan will be available to brief the media on the services available in the Los Angeles DLSE office.
