SAN FRANCISCO--The California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) has postponed public hearings on proposed rulemaking regarding requirements for the payment of prevailing wages upon public works. The hearings were to have been held in San Francisco on November 30 and December 1, 1995, and in Los Angeles on December 11 and 12, 1995.
The postponement has been ordered by the Superior Court of California in order for the Court further review documents pertaining to the hearings.
The Department will still communicate with or exchange information with members of the public relevant to the proposed regulatory changes. Communications should be submitted to: Dorothy Vuksich, Chief, Division of Labor Statistics and Research, P.O. Box 420603, San Francisco, CA 94142.
New dates for the hearings will be set in the near future.
