In October, 1996, the California Department of Education formed the Office of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (ROCP) to work with the existing 72 ROCPs in the state and their support agencies. Support agencies include the California Association of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs (CAROCP). The Office of Regional Occupational Centers and Programs' specific goals include:

Functions

Workers' compensation reform legislation passed in 1993 created the Commission and charged it with overseeing state health and safety and workers' compensation programs. It also recommends administrative and legislative changes to improve their operation. The Commission was established to conduct a continuing examination of the state's activities to prevent individual injuries and occupational diseases, and to examine these programs in other states.
