Lynd Named Special Assistant to Chief Deputy

Governor Pete Wilson appointed Paul Lynd as special assistant to DIR's chief deputy director. Lynd joined DIR in 1993 as special assistant to the deputy director for communications.

Among other duties, he has served as editor of DIR Bulletin, and will continue as editor while assisting on several special projects, including regulatory review and Governor Wilson's privatization initiative.

Previously, Lynd served as a constituent affairs representative in Governor Wilson's office, covering matters involving DIR and the Health and Welfare Agency.

He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and Native American Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.
